SAT Study Group to Meet at the Library

Whoever said learning can't be fun hasn't joined the SAT study group at the Library. The Library will be hosting an SAT study group on April 7th from 1:00-4:00 p.m. in the Library’s small meeting room. This is a great opportunity for you to meet with other teens who are preparing for the SAT. First you will take a short test in either math or reading comprehension. After taking the test, you will work together to improve your scores by coaching one another in the areas you are strongest.

Books and Brownies for October

October's featured book for Books and Brownies is The Boy in the Striped Pajamas by John Boyne.
Bored and lonely after his family moves from Berlin to a place called “Out-With” in 1942, Bruno, the son of a Nazi officer, befriends a boy in striped pajamas who lives behind a wire fence. This thought-provoking Holocaust book is told from the viewpoint of an innocent child who is a bystander to this tragic event in history. A movie based on the book was released in 2008.
Join us on Saturday, October 22nd at 3:00 in the small meeting room for a lively discussion of this month's book and brownies meeting.
